As per the newest CUET updates, the exam is going to be conducted as a computer-based test in two sessions, of 3 hours each. The CUET exam paper is going to be divided into 3 sections – Section IA and Section IB (Language-based questions), Section II (Domain Specific Questions), and Section III (General knowledge, Mental Ability, Reasoning, and so on).

CUET Exam Pattern Highlights

  • A candidate can choose up to 3 languages from Section IA and Section IB, where the chosen language should be a domain-specific language.
  • Section II contains Domain-specific subjects, where a candidate can select up to 6 subjects from 27 given options.
  • Section III contains General knowledge questions, where he will be required to answer objective questions based on current affairs, general mental ability, numerical ability, quantitative reasoning, etc.
  • A candidate can get a greatest of 9 tests in the following manner –
  • A maximum of 2 languages from section IA and Section IB took together, the greatest of 6 domain subjects from Section II and General Test from Section III.
  • A maximum of 3 languages from Section IA and Section IB took together, the greatest of 5 domain subjects from Section II and General Test from Section III.
  • A candidate must always ensure the requirements of his /her desired university.

CUET EXAM PATTERN STRUCTURE

The CUET for Undergraduate courses is going to be held in two slots – The first half and the second half. Though the CUET exam paper is going to be held on multiple days, the students will not be allowed to appear in the subject paper test again in a different slot. Such discrepancy is prohibited.
